President Muhammadu Buhari presented the APC flag to the party’s gubernatorial candidate in the June 18 election in Ekiti State, Mr Abiodun Oyebanji.

During the presentation, the President noted that Mr Oyebanji had served Ekiti State in many capacities, including as Chief of Staff, Commissioner, and Secretary to the State Government, stressing that becoming a Governor will be a continuity of service.

The candidate, whom the President wished best of luck, was led to him by the National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the National Secretary, Senator Iyiola Omisore, and Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State.

Speaking with newsmen afterward, the National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, said he was confident that the people of Ekiti State would reciprocate the spread of APC’s development projects, and vote for continuity.

Governor Fayemi said Oyebanji had been involved in governance in Ekiti in the past 20 years and had acquitted himself creditably.

The candidate, Mr Oyebanji, told newsmen that his aim was to further spread the chain of infrastructure development started by the current and previous administrations in the State.

He said all facets of the people’s core needs would be enhanced.
