IPAC sues for peace ahead of 2023 general election

The Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC has called on stakeholders in electoral process not to heat up the polity as the country prepares for another general election next year.

It also calls on Independent National Electoral Commission; INEC to remain focused and ensure it conducts a free, fair and credible election next year.

A statement by the IPAC Chairman, Alhaji Yagbagi Sani also calls on political parties to put the interest of the nation above personal interest in the conduct of political activities leading to the 2023 general election.

It appeals to Security agencies, CSOs and the Judiciary to be alive to their responsibilities in the electoral process.

It prays that the blessings of the month of Ramadan shall remain with the Muslim Faithful.

While wishing a happy Sallah Celebration, the statement added that they should continue to pray for the unity of the nation.
