Gov Matawalle commiserates with victims of bandit attacks

Zamfara state governor, Bello Matawalle has commiserated with victims of banditry attacks in the Mada and Magazu communities of the state.

The Governor, who was represented by the Deputy Governor of the state, Hassan Nasiha expressed sympathy for the various incidents that happened, especially in the two communities where many lives were reportedly lost and several others kidnapped.

He assured the communities and the entire state, that his administration would continue to fight criminals until the required peace and tranquility is achieved in every part of the State.

Matawalle advised people of the state to shun the temptation of hunting for bandits in the bush but, instead, stay firm and defend communities, saying With the help of security operatives, the desired target of eliminating the miscreants would be achieved.

He made a donation of hundreds of bags of grains to victims of the attacks and an undisclosed amount of money to cushion their grief of losing their breadwinners and dear ones.

Special prayers for peace were also offered at various instances by Imams in the areas visited.
