The European Union Ambassador to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Samuela Isopi says the trade volume between Nigeria and the European Union is totaling about 28.7 billion Euros.
Ms Isopi made the disclosure in Abuja at a reception dinner to mark this year’s Europe day.
She said this year’s Europe Day, with the theme “Unity in Diversity” is to recall the EU’s shared values, which lie at the heart of it’s relationship with Nigeria.
Ambassador Isopi explained that the 2021-2027 508 million Euros multi annual indicative programme of cooperation between Nigeria and the EU would strengthen cooperation in three focal areas of Green and digital economy, governance,Peace and migration and human development, with a focus for the first time on education.
She expressed appreciation to the Federal and state Governments for working closely with the EU in the country.
