The Seventy-fifth World Health Assembly is to begin in Geneva tomorrow.
This is the first physical Health Assembly since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year’s Health Assembly theme is Health for peace, peace for health.
According to the WHO country representative, Dr. Walter Mulumbo the COVID-19 pandemic and other health emergencies have highlighted the leadership role of WHO in responding to such events.
Therefore Strengthening preparedness and response to health emergencies are key themes of the Health Assembly.
During the Seventy-fifth World Health Assembly, delegates, partner agencies, representatives of civil society, and WHO experts will discuss current and future priorities for public health issues of global importance.
Proceedings would be interpreted in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.
