S’East APC presidential aspirants in closed-door meeting

All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirants of Igbo extraction have held a closed door meeting at Maitama, Abuja home of Senator Rochas Okorocha.

In attendance were Emeka Nwajiuba, Ogbonnaya Onu, Senator Ken Nnamani, Uju Ken-Ohanenye and Mr Okorocha.

Governor of Ebonyi state, Dave Umahi was however absent but an aide to the former Imo Governor who didn’t want to be mentioned, said Chief Umahi confirmed his attendance, but had an emergency that took him back to his State.

The All Progressives Congress, APC aspirants from the South East extraction commended President Muhammadu Buhari and the national leadership of the party as well as members of the APC for their avowed commitment to the unity of the country.

A statement jointly signed by the seven aspirants, also applauded citizens for their committed to the Nigerian project and support for the aspiration of the south east to produce the next Nigerian president in 2023.

The statement says in same spirit and in furtherance of these commitments, all the aspirants have committed to align with any of the south east aspirants who is accepted and chosen by Nigerians to fly the APC flag.
