The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has ordered owners of empty plots of land in Apo Dutse to immediately commence development to avoid having their titles revoked.
Senior Special Assistant on Monitoring, Inspection and Enforcement to FCT Minister, Comrade Ikharo Attah gave the advise when his team revisited Apo Dutse to clear the remaining illegal structures in the area.
Comrade Attah urged owners of such plots to visit the Department of Development Control to get their building plan approval before erecting any form of building on the plots.
He warned that the Administration would have no option than to revoke the plot titles should the owners fail to take over the reclaimed lands.
According to him, the place had been infiltrated by all manner of dangerous criminals; hence the need to remove all illegalities in the area.
He also admonished those interested in ‘Pantaker business’ to move to Gosa Dumpsites and continue their business there.
He said: “… We have advised, and would use this medium to notify plot owners within this area to report themselves immediately to Development Control to obtain building plan approval and commence building on their plots of land. If they fail to do so, we will be left with no option but to write and recommend to the Minister for the revocation of all land titles, because we cannot suffer in vain clearing this place for this numbers of days, and the owners will sit down to speculate, waiting for when they will make big money.”
