Afenifere leader Pa Ayo Adebanjo
Southwest Governors have been challenged to redesign their security architecture to safeguard the lives and property of the people.
Afenifere leader Pa Ayo Adebanjo gave the charge when he led members of the group to Owo, in Ondo State.
Pa Adebanjo while sympathizing with the people of Ondo State, the governor, Olowo of Owo Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin called for a proper review and introduction of community policing.
Pa Adebanjo said until perpetrators were caught and prosecuted and their sponsors uncovered, such attacks would persist.
The pan Yoruba group then donated five million naira to the Catholic Church to support the victims.
Reacting, the Olowo of Owo Oba Ajibade Ogunoye thanked Afenifere leader Pa Ayo Adebanjo for their show of love promising to encourage other traditional rulers in the southwest to come up with further strategies toward improving security in the region.
The Afenifere delegation included the Alaago of Ago Ijesha, Oba Oladipo Olaitan, Chief Olu Falae,Mr Sola Ebiseni ,Dr. Shola Agboola former AIG Mr. Tunde Alapini, among others.
