FIRS partners Kwara govt on revenue generation

Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) is collaborating with the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS) to improve revenue generation in the state.

The FIRS tax Controller, Adama Isa stated this when he led members of the Service on a visit to the executive chairman of the KW-IRS, Sade Omoniyi, in Ilorin.

Adama Isa said that continued collaboration between the two agencies will ensure eligible taxpayers in the state are adequately and appropriately captured into the tax net.

She explained that the visit was aimed at strengthening the long-standing institutional relationship between the two organization.

In her remark, the Executive Chairman, KW-IRS, Shade Omoniyi, commended FIRS for their  support towards achieving seamless tax administration in the state.

She said part of the ongoing reforms of the Service was the ability of taxpayers to apply for Tax Clearance Certificate online through KW-IRS Self-Service Portal.
