Kwara state Police has urged leadership of worship center and religious institutions to mount surveillance cameras and other security gadgets to complement the effort of Police.

The state Commissioner of Police Tuesday Assayomo made the call while addressing strategic security managers at the Police Officers mess in Ilorin.

He said the meeting was convened to review the existing security strategies in the state.

Mr Assayomo explained that the command was not unaware of some security breaches in some states leading to the death of many citizens.

He directed area commanders, divisional police officers and the command’s tactical units to intensify patrols in their areas.

The police boss also called on motorcycle and tricycles unions in the state to embark on adequate profiling of both existing and new members for easy identification and monitoring.
