A former speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Alhaji Muhammadu Gamunu has urged the electorate to see their permanent voters card as their personal property.
Alhaji Gamunu was reacting to allegations that some politicians are collecting PVCs from villagers with the promise of a business offer in Abuja.
The ex-lawmaker, who described the action as criminal in nature, called for an urgent investigation into the matter.
He warned residents against giving out their voter cards in exchange of monetary gains.
According to the former speaker, INEC should engage in “proper enlightenment and advocacy” on the use of PVC.
