Immediate past AMAC chairman to leave APC

The immediate past Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu Candido says he is on his way out of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC attributing it to alleged intimidation he is facing in the party.

Party leaders are however prevailing on him not to dump the APC.

During a town hall meeting at his country Home in Jiwa, Abuja, Alhaji Candido explained that he has set up a committee to look into the matter and that the findings of the committee would determine his next political move.

Alhaji Candido who expressed disappointment at what he described as an unfair treatment meted to him during the AMAC bwari House of Representatives primaries however maintained that he would continue to support the current administration at AMAC and the federal.

An All Progressives Congress stalwart and secretary of the party in the Federal Capital Territory, Mallam Hashimu Angama promised that the party’s leadership would dialogue with Alhaji Candido saying that his administration as AMAC chairman brought tremendous infrastructural and economic developments to the people in his constituency.

Mallam Angaba said that APC is known for collective bargaining and would always prioritize the right of all members of the party.
