Jigawa Pensions Board disburses N1.215bn to 550 Retirees

The Jigawa State and Local Governments Contributory Pension Scheme Board says it has paid 1.215 billion naira to 550 retirees for the month of July 2022.

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Kamilu Musa stated this while briefing newsmen on the payment in Dutse, the Jigawa state capital.

Alhaji Musa said the beneficiaries were categorized into four for the payment of their rights.

According to him, the first category includes 411 retired beneficiaries who have retired from the Sevice with 920,331million naira.

He further explained that the second category of beneficiaries were 100 people that have died while in service and would get the total amount of 267, 29 million naira.

The Executive Secretary said that the third category of 8 beneficiaries were under the death pension balance and would get 27, 952 million naira as their entitlement.

He said the fourth category of beneficiaries were those not in service for up to five years, the board would refund 8 percent to them amounting to 201,437 thousand naira as their entitlement.

Alhaji Musa said the Board had already paid July Pension to the Pensioners to enable them to celebrate the forthcoming Sallah with joy and happiness.

He also called on the beneficiaries to avoid giving bribe to anybody in the process of collecting their benefits urging them to report any of his staff that ask them for the bribe.

The Pension Boss commended Governor  Badaru Abubakar for his support to the Board and for releasing the Pensioner’s entitlement.
