Nigeria Junior Tennis Coach, Ubale Mohammed has commended the developmental programs and progress made by the Ondo state tennis association in producing talent for the country.
Coach Mohammed stated this when speaking with our sports reporter Isaac Afolabi during his training tour to Ondo state.
He said Ondo state has been producing talents and to date has produced national players such as Anu Aiyegbusi and many more charging the coaches and players not to relent and be more committed.
Coach Mohammed, however, appealed for a renovation of the Ondo state tennis court which he said was not too good for a state that has been producing talents.
Meanwhile, former super eagles captain Ogenyi Onazi and other national players such as Geoffrey Oboabona and Sunday Mba are expected in Akure tomorrow.
The players will face former and present Sunshine Stars players like Chukwuma Akabueze, Tunde Adeniji, and Sunday Abe among others in a friendly match to honor a late grassroots Coach, Mr Chinedu Obi.
The match comes up at three o’clock and the venue is the Akure sports complex.
