President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Daura, Katsina State, for Eid-el-Kabir festivities.
Governor Aminu Bello Masari and other senior state government officials welcomed him at Katsina’s Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Airport.
Additionally, the President was welcomed by the Emir, Dr. Faruk Umar Faruk, and members of the Emirate Council upon arrival in Daura.
The President, who is with members of his family, will return to Abuja on Thursday next week.
The advance team sent to Daura ahead of the visit was ambushed near Dutsinma on Tuesday.
According to presidential spokesman Garba Shehu, no lives were lost, but two people were injured.
