The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, has congratulated Senator Ademola Adeleke on his victory in the last Saturday’s governorship election in Osun State.
Mr Obi also congratulated the governorship candidate of the Labour Party in the said election, Mr Lasun Yusuf, and his running mate, Adeola Atanda, on their hard-fought battle and spirit of resolve and sportsmanship, despite the outcome.
“To our Obidient Movement Family and our supporters nationwide, the outcome of this particular election is not a verdict on our exponentially growing srtength nationwide, especially when viewed against the fact that we are barely one month old in the party and we had to contend with forces that have been entrenched in the state for the last two decades”, Mr Obi said.
He, however, expressed delight that within a short period, the Labour Party had made its presence and political impact felt nationally.
Mr Obi charged the movement to strengthen its collective resolve not to relent in its noble march to take back the country from those holding it captive.
