Group task women to get registered as CVR ends in Seven days

Nigeria League of Women Voters, NILWV, in plateau state has appealed to women in the State who are yet to register with INEC to go out with eligible members of their families and register, to enable them participate in 2023 elections.

This is coming as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC says the Continues Voters Registration exercise ends on the 31st of July 2022

The Vice Chairperson, Nigeria League of Women Voters, NILWV, Plateau State Chapter Mrs Sarah Yusuf, stated this at the women elders’ forum of the group, in Jos.

Mrs Yusuf urged every woman in the state to encourage their families to get their Permanent Voters Card, PVCs, towards electing credible candidates for elective offices in the forthcoming general elections.

Also Speaking, the Director of programs, NILWV, Mrs Edwina Mang encouraged women to actively work towards achieving a common goal ahead of next year’s general elections.

Contributing, the Central Zonal Coordinator Mrs. Agnes Watle urged women not to relent in their efforts to ensure inclusion of women in governance in Nigeria and urged them to continue to demand adequate representation of women in politics when they get into their desired offices.
