Gunmen have killed a 40year old Lagos based businessman, Biola Osundiya, who visited Kwara to spend time with his family.
According to report, the incident occurred around past 6:00pm on Wednesday when he was trailed by the gunmen to one of the drinking spots besides the Kwara State Center for Arts and Culture and shot him at close range.
It was learnt that the deceased was in the company of a girl who was having conversation about some people on the phone regarding their location shortly before his assailants arrived.
A source said he was shot by two men who traced him to the spot on motorbike and left in the pool of his blood.
A source said the deceased was initially based in Ilorin, Kwara State where his two wives and children resides but recently relocated to Lagos to start cement business.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, Kwara Command, Ajayi Okasanmi, said the police are still on the trail of the assailants, adding that AK 47 ammunition was recovered from the scene.
