Three aircraft are to be used to begin the maiden operations of the new Nigeria Air.
The Minister of Aviation, Alhaji Hadi Sirika announced this in Abuja, during a briefing of State House correspondents on the memoranda he presented at the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
Alhaji Sirika said Nigeria Air would start off domestically, and later go international, promising, however, that the take-off date would be announced in due course.
Meanwhile, the FEC has approved the implementation of a new policy banning the exportation of raw ore.
Titled “The Nigerian Mining Value-chain Regulation”, the new policy is expected to ensure that mineral resources are processed before export.
Our correspondents report that the Ministry of Finance also made a presentation on the performance of the economy.
