NAOWA builds school, equip hospital in Ogun

The National President of Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association, NAOWA, Mrs Salamatu Yahaya has inaugurated a fully furnished state of the art NAOWA Crech, Nursery, and Primary school for benefit of the host community.

At the Nigerian Army Engineers, Sappers Barracks in Ogun state, Mrs Salamatu Yahaya said ‘Knowledge is power’ as it would provide quality and affordable education to children, youths and women in the Barracks and environs.

The Association donated chairs and lockers, generator, photocopier machine, computers and printer for smooth running of the school.

Mrs Yahaya urged wives of officers to continue to keep the home front stable and peaceful as their husbands confront the Present insecurity bedeviling the nation.

The NAOWA National President commended the NAOWA coordinator in the state, Mrs Adebukola Kadiri for initiating the project to complement the existing educational structures in the neighboring communities.

Mrs Adebukola Kadiri said the Association would continue to raise the standard of education for the brighter future of the children.

NAOWA National President also donated some equipment to 12 Field Engineer Regiment to aid the provision of health care services to Nigerians.

The equipment are oxygen, concentrators, bedsheets, lockers and desk mattresses, drug stand, pillow cases , delivery beds and gifts to widows of soldiers and pregnant women in the barrack.

In a related development, the National President visited to Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo 111, the Alake of Egba land for blessings and collaboration to meet the needs of the less privilege in the barracks and its environs.

Oba Adedotun Aremu, Alake of Egbaland described the efforts of NAOWA schools as a shining light in the education sector and called on them to keep it up.

Mrs Yahaya also visited the Alase of Ilese Ijebuode, the Commander Corp of Engineers, Major General Olayinka Kadiri .
