Former Barcelona President and Neymar has both been accused of corruption and bribery over the Brazilian star’s transfer from Santos to Barcelona in 2013.

The trial is set for October 17 to 31 in Spain just a month before World cup in Qatar.

The investigation could stir trouble for the superstar player and the former President as their case now lies in the hands of their ‘rival’, Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez who has been summoned to testify in the case.

Prosecutors are demanding the punishment for Neymar if he is found guilty should be 2 years in jail and a €10m fine too while Sandro Rosell faces up to 5 years in prison and a €10m fine.

Neymar is still under contract with PSG until the summer of 2027 and it appears that he will be playing alongside Mbappe and Messi at the club for the foreseeable future.
