The Armed Forces of Burkina Faso is seeking stronger collaboration with its Nigerian counterpart to enhance its capacity to address insurgency and other related crime in that country.
The Chief of Defence Staff, Burkina Faso Armed Forces, Senior Colonel David Kabre stated this in Abuja when he visited the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, at the Defence Headquarters.
Colonel Kabre’s call at General Irabor’s office was part of the former’s schedule to Nigeria.
Colonel Kabre said with the experience of Nigeria in dealing with insurgents and other security challenges, it was necessary to seek advice and collaboration on military enhancement in the country.
General Irabor commended the Burkina Faso CDS on his achievements since his appointment as the head of the Burkinabe Armed Forces.
Insecurity in the sub region has been a point of concern to all; hence the commitment of Nigeria to assist in all capacity, General Irabor told his guest.
Our Defence Correspondent reports that Colonel Kabre will be among those to be honored as alumni at the graduation of course 30 of the National Defence College, Abuja.
