Mompha in a pose displaying bundles of foreign currency
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has placed popular Instagram influencer, Ismaila Mustapha alias ‘Mompha’ on its wanted list.
In a statement by EFCC signed by the Head, Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren and published on its verified Twitter handle says the influencer is wanted in an allege case of retention of proceeds of criminal conduct, possession of document containing false pretenses, false assets declaration and laundering of proceeds of unlawful conduct.
Ismaila, 38, hails from Ogbomoso Local Government Area of Oyo State. His last known address: 21 Fagbenro Street, Idi-Araba, Surulere, Lagos State”, the statement reads.
Mompha has had several issues with the EFCC in the last two years.
He was arraigned by the EFCC in January and was granted a bail of ₦200 million.
Ismaila Mustapha has since deleted all his Instagram posts and has suspended updating the over 1.4 million Instagram followers of his luxury lifestyle as he was known to do.
