Health Agency tasks Nigerians on routine medical check

National Primary Health Care Development Agency, wants Nigerians to always embark on routine medical check to Prevent Killer diseases.

The Director Community Health Services of the Agency Dr Chris Elemuwa made the Call on Saturday in Abuja at a Sensitization campaign to intensify Awareness on Hepatitis.

The Health Sensitization walk was part of efforts to support various government initiatives on enlightenment towards ensuring healthy lifestyles.

Participants distributed flyers with various inscriptions Such as; wash your hands regularly and properly, Exercise to maintain general health, Get tested, Eat well cooked Meals that are balanced, Avoid Contact with blood Get vaccinated among others.

The Director Community Health Services Chris Elemuwa who commended the initiative urged well meaning Organisations and government to ensure Nigerians become more conversant with health information.

He further advised Nigerians to always take the required vaccines to protect themselves against Killer diseases such as hepatitis.

On her part, the president of Uniport Alumini Association Abuja chapter, Mrs. Phil okoroafor Said the Campaign was aimed at ensuring that Nigerians were More Conscious of their health and desist from unhealthy practices that could jeopardize their health.

Mrs Okoroafor who added that the Campaign would be quarterly called on all stakeholders to disseminate useful information that could bring positive changes to the lives of Nigerians.
