Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan has called on the 40 civil servants who won the 2022 Presidential Public Service Merit Award and were celebrated during the 2022 Civil Service Day to continue with the good work they have started in uplifting the values of Civil Service.

Dr. Yemi-Esan made the call in Abuja at the presentation of N500,000 cash prizes donated by one of its partners Foundation to recipients of the Award .

She opined that the Award is a motivator to Civil Servants to perform better, and as “Champions of Change” in the Service, she admonished the Awardees to be proud as Civil Servants, also encourage and mentor others to work hard because according to her“hard work pays,”

The Head of the civil service commended the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation for putting smiles on the faces of the Civil Servants, who have excelled in the performance of their duties by redeeming his pledge of the five hundred thousand naira (N500,000.00) each to the forty (40) Civil Servants from different Ministries, Extra-Ministerial Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

While advising the Awardees to ensure prudent use of the money received, she as well woo other like-minded private sector players to take a cue from the Aig- Imoukhuede Foundation’s laudable gesture, soliciting for enhanced public-private partnership (PPP) with the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF).

In a remarks, the Chairman of the Foundation, Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede said that the gesture is one amongst several other efforts of the Foundation, through the OHCSF, towards repositioning the Nigerian Civil Service to take its rightful place in the delivery of efficient and effective service to the citizen.
