UN experts inspect Zaporizhzhia Power Nuclear plant

UN nuclear experts have made their first inspection of the Russian-held Zaporizhzhia power plant in Ukraine.

According to BBC, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi, said the plant physical integrity had been violated several times.

Grossi who visited the plant for several hours, also said he would continue to worry until the situation at Zaporizhzhia had stabilised.

He further stated that some of the UN team will remain at the facility until Saturday, after conducting their preliminary assessment.

The inspectors were accompanied to the plant by Russian soldiers.

Both Russia and Ukraine say they fear a possible radiation disaster as a result of shelling that the two sides blame on each other.
