The Director General, National Youth Service Corps ( NYSC ), Brigadier General Muhammad Fadah has expressed concern over the declining quality of graduates presented for mobilisation.
Brigadier General Muhammad Fadah stated this during the 2022 Pre-mobilization workshop for Batch C Corps members in Abuja.
The NYSC boss said during the 2022 Batch B Streams one and two orientation programmes, the scheme discovered that foreign-based prospective corps members could not defend their qualifications.
Also speaking, the Registrar Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Ishaq Oloyede said through the help of the Central Admission Processing System, CAPs, close to one million people were identified to have been illegally admitted into institutions of higher learnings from 2017 and 2021
Professor Oloyede explained that after admitting to the crime, the Minister of Education gave amnesty to the defaulters.
He advised corps producing institutions to follow lay down rules and avoid mobilizing unqualified students for national service.
