Buhari inaugurates Body of Benchers Complex

President Muhammadu Buhari has urged the Judiciary to remain an honest arbiter in its role in the electioneering process in the country.

President Buhari stated this on Thursday at the official inauguration of the Body of Benchers Complex in Abuja.

While commending the Body of Benchers for the successful completion of the complex, the President noted that it would boost infrastructural development of the country’s legal profession.

President Buhari, promised that his administration would continue to pay strict adherence to the rule of law.

The Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola said the complex would ease the stress involved in organizing call to bar ceremonies for new lawyers.

Body of Benchers at the commissioning of the complex in Abuja

The chairman of the Body of Benchers, Chief Wole Olanipekun, in his speech called for a more virile and independent Judiciary.

According to Chief Olanipekun, the Complex consists of a 3,000-sitting capacity auditorium, a 240-sitting capacity meeting room, a 1,000-sitting capacity banquet hall, and a 1,000-sitting capacity multipurpose hall, and a courtroom among others.
