The Nigeria Association of Auctioneers has appealed to the management of the Nigeria Customs Service to urgently release goods seized for immediate Auction to the public.
The National President of the Association, Alhaji Musa Kurra made the appeal in a news conference in Abuja.
Alhaji Kurra also urged the Customs to auction goods seized and kept in all its commands across the country to members of the public rather than allow such goods to waste away.
He said the country was in dire need of revenue to finance developmental projects nationwide.
His organisation was ready to collaborate with the Nigeria Customs to dispose all seized goods from smugglers to generate more revenue for the federal government, he said.
