Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Education, David Adejo
The Federal Government says it is establishing education quality assurance service units in the 109 senatorial districts of the country to ensure quality education at the basic level.
The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education David Adejo stated this on Monday in Keffi, Nasarawa state at a 2-Day Conference of Directors, Co-ordinating evaluators of the 36 states and the FCT.
Adejo explained that State offices would be disarticulated into three Senatorial Districts in each state and would be referred to as Education districts with each district to be headed by a director or co-ordinating Evaluator.
The permanent secretary also noted that each quality assurance education district office would ensure regular and continuous monitoring and evaluation of schools in the domain for impactful quality assurance policies, processes, and practices.
Adejo added that the conference would equip participants with monitoring skills, professional competencies, and abilities in educational quality assurance to ensure improvement in the management of schools across the country.
The theme of the 2-day conference is ‘’Effective Education Quality Assurance Activities in Nigeria: Policies, Processes, and Practices.
