Nigeria’s Super Falcons again fell to their Japanese counterparts courtesy of two second-half goals from Mina Tanaka.
The loss means Randy Waldrum’s team have not won a match in their last 5 outings.
The friendly match was part of Nigeria’s preparations for the 2023 Fifa Women’s World Cup taking place in Australia and New Zealand.
After finishing in fourth place at the women’s Afcons, the super falcons also lost back-to-back friendlies against the USWNT in September.
A notable absentee from the falcons’ line-up was the reigning African Women Player of the Year, Asisat Oshoala, who did not join the squad but trained with her club Barcelona ladies.
