Oyebanji sets to assume office as Ekiti governor

All is now set for the Ekiti State Governor Elect, Abiodun Oyebanji to take oath of office as the 7th Executive Governor of the state alongside his his Deputy, Monisade Afuye on Sunday.

The programme will take place at Ekiti Parapo pavilion, Ado Ekiti, the state capital at 10.00am.

Mr Oyebanji will takeover the mantle of leadership from Governor Kayode Fayemi who has spent 2 terms as governor on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The inauguration will be the first of its kind that the incumbent governor will handover to the governor elected under same political party in Ekiti State.

Oyebanji who is a Master Degree holder in International Relations and Strategic Studies, hails from Ikogosi Ekiti, Ekiti West Local Government Area of Ekiti State, while his Deputy Mrs Monisade Afuye who is a native of Ikere Ekiti is also married in the same town and holds Higher National Diploma in Public Administration.
