The key suspect in the murder of late Super TV CEO, Ataga Usifo transferred about N 5 million from his account hours after his death, prosecution witness tells court.
The details came to light at the Lagos high court, Tafawa Balewa Square area, during the testimony of the ninth prosecution witness, DSP Olusegun Bamidele.
At Thursday’s proceedings, the Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, Adenike Oluwafemi, had told the court that the matter was for continuation of trial.
DSP Bamidele was then led into the witness box to continue from where he’d stopped at the last sitting.
Mrs Oluwafemi asked for exhibit P11, which is the Access Bank Statement of Mr Usifo, and asked the witness to tell the court why he had the bank statements of the deceased.
The witness said that during the course of investigation, and in a bid to know what could have motivated the first defendant, Chidimma Ojukwu, to kill the deceased, the police wrote Access Bank asking for his bank statements, and a copy was given to them.
