Nasarawa signs N500m Youth Revolving Scheme

The Nasarawa State Government has signed a N500million Youth Revolving Scheme MOU with Bank of Industry to promote youth development programme in the State.

At the event in Lafia, the State Deputy Governor, Emmanuel Akabe, said the state government would continue to initiate and implement youth friendly policies and programs to enable them become wealthy and job creators.

According to the Deputy Governor, the state government will spare no effort to promote industrialization towards enhancing the socio economic wellbeing of the state and citizen.

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abdullahi Sule and Focal Person Human Capital Development, Habiba Suleiman explained that the scheme was aimed at improving the livelihood of citizens especially women and youths.

The representatives of women and youth groups, Mrs Jerusa Dennis and Mr Shuaibu Sani commended the government for providing opportunities for women and youths across the state to leverage upon and to expand businesses of their choice through revolving funds scheme.
