The Federal High Court, Lafia, has nullified the All Progressives Congress (APC) Primary Election in Nasarawa West Senatorial District and ordered the party to conduct a fresh Election in the zone within 14 days.
Justice Nehezina Afolabi delivered the ruling in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.
The judgement was in respect of a suit filed by one of the APC aspirants, Labaran Magaji.
According to Justice Afolabi, the delegates list used during the primary election on June 4, 2022, was fake; hence the purported declaration of Shehu Tukur as the winner of the election stands nullified.
She, however, ordered the APC to hold a fresh Primary Election within 14 days using the delegates list originally certified by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Counsel to the Plaintiff, Ghali Ahmed said they would study the judgment and come up with a position within 24 hours.
In the same vein, counsel to the defendant, Mr Adekilekun hinted that he would consult with his client on the next line of action.
