PDP, APC continue to disagree ahead of 2023 polls

The main opposition, peoples democratic party PDP and the ruling All Progressives Congress APC have continued to disagree as part of their campaigns ahead of the 2023 polls.

The latest bone of contention was a statement credited to the APC vice presidential candidate Senator Kashim Shettima who said Nigerians should not expect the PDP presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to unite the nation since he has not been able to unite his party.

Senator Shettima who spoke at an event in Lagos argued that Nigeria needed a tested , unifying and credible personality like Senator Bola Tinubu of the APC to unite the nation at this critical time.

But in a statement , the Director Of Strategic Communications Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council , Chief Dele Momodu accused the APC of deliberate amnesia and ignoring the obvious cracks in their party but focusing rather on minor disagreement in the PDP.

Mr. Momodu claimed that the APC was in total disarray and that was why it was difficult for them to constitute their presidential campaign council.

He maintained that the PDP was proud of its antecedents and that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Governor Ifeanyichukwu Okowa were fully ready to reposition Nigeria.
