The Code Of Conduct Bureau, CCB, has summoned the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Siminalayi Fubara to appear before its investigation team on Monday.
The CCB is inviting Fubara on an alleged breach of the Code of Conduct for Public Officers.
In a letter of invitation, CCB’s Director of Intelligence, Investigation and Monitoring, Gwimi Sabastine, says the PDP Governorship candidate is expected to honour the invitation with the certified true copies of all acknowledgement slips, letters of appointment, promotion, records of service and pay slips and bank account statements among other required things.
“You are expected to come along with the Certified True Copies of the following documents: acknowledgement slips of all your assets declaration to the Code of Conduct Bureau from when you joined the public service to date; copies of your letter of appointment, promotion letters, records of service and pay slips from April to August 2022; all documents of your buildings and landed properties both developed and undeveloped in Nigeria and abroad; details of your personal companies and businesses; details of their shares and bank account statements of all your personal bank accounts from January 2022 to date”. The letter reads.
The Director, Volunteer Legal Practitioner Foundation for Morals and Values, Ifeanyichukwu Obasi-Nweze, had petitioned the CCB to investigate Fubara for alleged false declaration of assets, money laundering and corruption.
