Stakeholders in trade and investment have converged on Bauchi to exchange ideas and discuss existing as well as emerging economic issues towards a robust economic policy.
The 14th National Council on Industry Trade and Investment NCITI, with the theme “strengthening industry, Trade and Investment Sector in promoting Development in the country “ has in attendance Economists from tertiary institutions, experts from the government and private sectors.
Declaring open the meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Evelyn Ngige noted that the council had received about 70 memoranda earmarked for deliberation.
She said the decisions arrived at during the meeting would be forwarded to the Federal Executive Council for further discussions and considerations.
The NCITI as the highest policy advisory body contributes towards the advancement of key economic variables and is expected to enhance the ease of doing business in Nigeria.
