Obi to stop appearing on election debate- LP

The Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council says henceforth, the Presidential Flag bearer of the Party, Mr Peter Obi will not participate in any of the election debate ahead of the 2023 election.

At a news briefing in Abuja, the Director General of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Doyin Okupe, explained that the debate platform which always provide the avenue for candidates and electorate interactions has been ridiculed by other presidential candidates who always fail to appear in such platform.

Dr Okupe said he was worried that Nigerians are been taken for granted by some presidential candidates who always send representatives to event where the presence of presidential flag bearer are needed.

He noted that Nigerians are more interested in interacting with the presidential candidates whom they believe will determine the fate of the country when elected.

Dr Okupe maintained that any presidential candidate who refuse to appear at such presidential debates have assumed the position of emperors and rulers, who according to him are not ready to serve the country.
