Body of DSS instructor yet to be recovered from lagoon

The body of the lady who allegedly jumped into the lagoon along the Third Mainland Bridge, Adetutu Adedokun who was later identified as a DSS Operative is yet to be recovered.

Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu made the disclosure that the body of the lady was yet to be retrieved, added that the response team is observing the tide while relying on locals for any useful information.

“Investigations have failed to produce the driver of the car that she was in prior to the unfortunate incident”, Dr Oke-Osanyintolu said.

Few months ago, Adedokun received a letter of commendation from the Director General of DSS, Yusuf Bichi, as the best-unarmed combat operative of her set.

Adetutu who is her late 30’s alighted from an e-hailing taxi on the bridge and jumped into the lagoon on Thursday afternoon. The driver of the taxi claimed she had a heated conversation with her fiancé (who allegedly proposed to her few weeks ago) before alighting from the car.
