Barcelona star-striker, Robert Lewandowski has been banned for three la Liga matches following his gesture towards the referee after a red card in their 2-1 win at Osasuna last week.
Lewandowski was shown his second booking in the 31st minute for an elbow on the face of Osasuna defender, David Garcia.
The Barcelona forward will now miss his club’s La Liga games against Espanyol, Atletico Madrid and Getafe after returning from Qatar.
Similarly, Barca’s former defender, Gerard Pique has also been given a four-game ban after insulting the referee at half-time following the red card given to Lewandowski.
But the suspension may not hold water as the former Spain defender Pique retired immediately after the game.
The red card given to Lewandowski’s three-game ban was only the second red card of his career.
