Islamic group empower 40 youth with ICT skills

A faith base organisation, Al-Habibiyyah Islamic Society in collaboration with MacArthur Foundation has offered digital skills training to no fewer than 40 youths from Kogi, Kaduna and FCT to enable the beneficiaries become self reliant and employers of labour.

The Chairman Board of Director, Al-Habibiyyah Islamic Society, Alhaji Kola Adeyemi at the end of the 4-day training in Abuja said the programme afforded the youths the opportunity to acquire relevant digital skills to increase their income and contribute effectively to national development.

Also the National Chief Imam Al-Habibiyyah Islamic Society Imam Fuad Adeyemi decried the level of corruption in the country and urged the youth to take over the anti-corruption crusade by taking advantage of the digital space.

the Coordinator of the organization, Hajia Rakiyya Abaji commended the participants for resilient throughout the exercise and stressed the need for them to make judicious use of the skills acquired.

Two of the participants Shemsiyya Muhammed and Abdullahi Yusuf who applauded the efforts of the organization for the opportunity given to them  pointed out that the excercise would aid them attain their full potential of making a decent and honest living.
