Police raids baby factory in Nasarawa

The Police Command in Nasarawa has rescued 6 young girls and a baby of about 6 months after busting a baby factory located at Ado Kasa, New Karu.

In a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Ramhan Nansel on Wednesday, the command said the girls and the baby were rescued at St. Bridget Orphanage Home operated by one Eze Ezeogu Norbert and others.

Channels Tv reports that Nansel stated that Ezeogu was consequently arrested alongside other suspects Nnaemeka Eze ‘F’, Okechukwu Ogechi ‘F’, and Obiagheli Chidi ‘F’.

He said that preliminary investigation revealed that the operator of the orphanage home which was not registered abducts under-aged pregnant girls.

The police said the suspects and victims have been handed over to National Agency for the Prosecution of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for further investigation and prosecution.
