The Kano State Government has reversed its earlier directive banning tricycle operators from riding on some major streets in the state.
The managing Director of the Kano Road traffic Agency, Alhaji Baffa Babba Dan’agundi disclosed this to news men in Kano.
He said following outcry by the people living in the affected areas of the state ,government has halted its earlier decision.
“We’ve gone round and observed the situation, and government has realized they company assigned for the transportation is not fully prepared, so government have reversed it’s decision up to the time adequate preparation will be made by the company”, he said.
Alhaji Baffa Babba DanAgundi commended members of the Amalgamated tricycle riders association for being law abiding.
On Tuesday, the Kano state government issued a directive that tricycle operative are not allowed to ride on some major roads of the state, with effect from Wednesday.
