Tinubu to prioritise girl child education

The wife of the APC presidential candidate, Senator Oluremi Tinubu says youth empowerment and the girl-child education will be amongst key priorities to her husband if elected at the polls next year.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu stated this at the North-East Zonal flagoff of the Tinubu/Shettima Women Campaign in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu while appreciating North-East youths for their overwhelming support, assured women of her commitment to work with the wife of the APC vice-presidential candidate, Hajiya Nana Shettima, to help tackle national challenges if their husbands were elected in 2023.

She said youth unemployment will be on the front burner of the Tinubu/Shettima administration alongside women empowerment and the education of the girl-child to serve as a recovery process from the insurgency that devastated the region.

She said if the APC was elected, concerted efforts would also be geared towards the provision of massive housing to facilitate the commitment of the state government in resettling those affected by insurgency.

The North-East zonal rally is the fifth in the series of women’s rallies so far held by the women’s wing of the APC presidential campaign since its inauguration in October 2022.
