Labour party trains women on skill acquisition in Kaduna

The labour Party Support Group in collaboration with Peter Obi Presidential Campaign Council, (POPCC) has embarked on a one day entrepreneurship development and skills acquisition training for over one hundred women at Rigasa Community in Kaduna State.

The Kaduna State intervention Chairman of (POPCC) Mr. Yusuf Solomon Danbaki who stated this at the commencement of the event, said the initiative was part of effort to empower them to be self-reliant and reduce over dependence on Governmen for white collar jobs.

Describing it as a grassroot campaign strategy, Solomon Danbaki pointed out that, the initiative was also a demonstration of the Party’s mandate of moving Nigeria from consumption to production for enhanced socio-economic wellbeing of the citizenry.

He said, the skills acquisition training that focused on the production of liquid soap, Dettol, Izal and Vaseline among others, was to intensify awareness campaign, and to also showcase the examplery leadership strategies of the party if given the mandate at the polls next year.

“This program is put together by all the support groups in kaduna state to show the people what it means when we talk about moving from consumption to production,

“We want to show them how to produce basic things like liquid soap, Dettol Izal and Vaseline even in their back yard without any difficulties, and that will go along way in solving their immediate need,

“As it were, we all know that everyone of us are tired of consumption not been able to produce, so we’ve come to show our people how examplery our leader is, and to also show the people that when he comes to power, they will not only be consuming, but have the access to be able to produce themselves”, said Danbaki.

Mr. Danbaki who appealed for massive support for the party, urged Nigerians to come out enmass and vote for the party, urged those that have not collected their PVC to do so.

The participants who were majorly married women and single ladies, got free liquid soap Dettol Izal and Vaseline, as well as certificate of attendance, in addition to the voter education gotten from the free entrepreneural training.
