Former Niger deputy governor withdraws from APC

Former Niger State Deputy Governor Ambassador Ahmed Musa Ibeto has withdrawn his membership with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The resignation is contained in a letter he personally signed and presented to the Chairman Ibelu central ward in Magama local government council of the state.

According to him with the resignation letter, he now ceases to be a member of APC Presidential Campaign Council Assistant Secretary of North Central Directorate of Mobilisation and all organs of committees of the party.

The former Nigerian Ambassador to South Africa gave reasons for his resignation from APC to include absence of unity of purpose among party stakeholders occasioned by internal conflicts including litigations among others.

Ambassador Ahmed Musa Ibeto did not specify the next political party he intend to join.

When contacted on telephone Public Relations Officer APC Niger State, Musa Sarkin Kaji said the resignation will not in any way affect their chances of winning the general elections.
