INEC commences distribution of PVCs in Kwara

Collection of Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs has begun at the 193 wards across the 16 Local Government Areas of Kwara State.

Radio Nigeria visited some of the wards including Idofian, Amoyo, Adewole, Ajikobi, Badari and Oko-Erin.

At all the wards visited, turnout of registered voters were high and there were rowdy sessions.

Some of the registered voters who were able to claim their PVCs expressed happiness, stressing that it would afford them the opportunity to exercise their franchise in the coming elections.

They urged residents who are yet to collect their cards to do so and ensure they also they vote on election days.

Meanwhile,, some of the registered voters complained of inadequate INEC Staff deployed at each ward, and called for additional staff particularly in areas where there are more polling units.

The collection of PVCs at the ward level will run every day of the week, including Saturdays and Sundays, till 15th of January.
