Iran hangs two men accused of killing

Iranian government has hanged two men for allegedly killing a military personnel during a nationwide protest.

The Iranian government found the two men, Mohammad Mahdi Karami and Seyed Mohammad Hosseini guilty of corruption on earth over their alleged involvement in the death of paramilitary officer.

The family of Mr Karami said they were not allowed to see him before he was killed.

The Prosecutors alleged that paramilitary officer, Ruhollah Ajamian was stripped naked and killed by a group of mourners paying their respects to a recently-killed protester.

Protests against Iran’s clerical establishment began in September 2022 following the death in custody of a woman who was detained by morality police for allegedly wearing her hijab improperly.

Meanwhile, reports say 516 protesters have been killed so far, including 70 children, and 19,262 others arrested.
