Labour Party inaugurates 450 campaign council members in Kaduna

The Labour Party in Kaduna State has Inaugurated some 450 campaign council members in preparation for next month’s general election.

At the event, National Secretary of the Party, Mallam Umar Ibrahim introduced two serving members of the Kaduna State House of Assembly who had defected to the party and became Labour Party House of Representative candidates in their constituencies.

Mallam Ibrahim described the inauguration as the “most important moment” for the Labor Party in the whole of Northern Nigeria due to the high profile of the dignitaries in attendance.

The party chieftain said the “rich manifesto” of its gubernatorial candidate, Jonathan Asake, should be used to develop the state.

The Governorship candidate, Mr Asake said his 5-Point manifesto “focuses on Security, Education, Health, Agriculture/Women and Youth Development”, among others.

Mr Asake promised to “work in harmony” with his running-mate, Mallam Bashir Idris, in fairness, equity, justice and restore hope to Kaduna residents, if elected.

State Chairman of Labor Party, Mallam Auwal Tafoki urged the newly-inaugurated 450 Campaign Council members to work assiduously towards success of the party in the general election.
